For a long time we were warned of the danger of Nicaragua`s becoming another Cuba if Ronald Reagan`s contra aid proposals didn`t go through. I could never see the problem with another Cuba, and Congress certainly wasn`t swayed by that warning. Well, Mr. Reagan must have read R.C. Longworth`s recent Cuban series in The Tribune and realized that threat would be futile, because now he`s saying Nicaragua could become another Libya, no less. Of course that would be a problem, but I`ve never heard of Nicaragua being connected with any terrorist acts against Americans.
