NBC-TV basketball analyst Al McGuire told TV Guide he may quit the broadcast booth. ”I left the business world, I left the coaching world, and now it might be time to leave the suite-and-limo world,” he said. Added McGuire, who has a year remaining on his contract with NBC: ”I`m not closing any doors, but I want to know about my NBC future before my final year.” He said he isn`t interested in going into management. ”I don`t like executive offices. Everyone is usually looking at their watches and burping.”

— Speaking of McGuire: Officials at his old school, Marquette, interviewed Bradley coach Dick Versace in Chicago last month, six days after Rick Majerus resigned the head job, according to the Milwaukee Journal. Versace`s Bradley program has been investigated by the NCAA for alleged recruiting violations.
