The Chicago Board Options Exchange set a volume record for June as more than 13.5 million contracts changed hands, a 17.6 percent increase from the 11.5 million contracts traded in June, 1985. ”Despite a slowdown in options activity from recent months, which was consistent with the underlying markets, CBOE performed well in June compared with past years,” said CBOE Chairman and Chief Executive Walter E. Auch.
