Chicago dancers aren`t just born here; they train, dance and choreograph here, too. And nowadays, they get grants here as well. Regents Park, a residential complex at 5050 S. Lake Shore Dr., recently awarded an artist fellowship–an apartment and year`s stipend–to choreographer Ron DeJesus in exchange for his sharing his talent with the community. Cheryl McWorter

–DeJesus is on the left) will perform Saturday night as part of the University of Chicago`s Summer Nights Festival, which runs through Aug. 18. The open-air performance, called ”An Evening of Chicago Dance,” includes jazz, ballet, tango, modern dance and flamenco. Other dancers will perform, too, featured in works such as the Joseph Holmes Dance Theatre`s ”And I`m Telling You” and the Hubbard Street Dance Company`s ”The Entertainer.”
