Mass for Gerald P. Maher, 71, a retired Chicago police detective, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 6949 W. Addison St. Mr. Maher, a Northwest Side resident who died Tuesday in Resurrection Hospital, had retired in 1978 after more than 30 years on the police force. He is survived by his wife, Anne; a daughter, Patricia Ann; and a sister.
