I am appalled at the indifference shown to Adlai Stevenson by Chicago`s media during his current campaign for governor.

At a time when the public and media alike clamor for a candidate who can transcend petty politics and local wheeling-dealing on a statewide level, what happens? He is slotted as a ”wimp.”

A former marine and Illinois farmer from a family whose very name instills political integrity and who decided to overcome electorate ignorance, hobbled by a broken foot, decisively combating the largesse of an administration larded with promises and waste, I feel, deserves better.
