United Airlines said it would delay plans for a joint marketing effort with Frontier Airlines intended to bail out the ailing carrier. But United said it would fight a suit filed by Continental Airlines in U.S. District Court in Denver aimed at blocking the agreement on antitrust grounds. United said the suit was ”without legal merit.” A hearing in the case is set for Aug. 4.
