The Reagan administration has been exhibiting behavior which knows virtually no restraints. It has violated international law twice: The first, the bombing of Libya, a country with which we are not at war. The second, the support of the contras (known in Orwellian jargon as the ”freedom fighters”) to topple over the freely-elected government of Nicaragua (an independent nation).

Furthermore, President Reagan has reneged on the SALT II treaty, which signifies to me the amassment of nuclear arms to his heart`s content.

I am frightened by the infinite power the Reagan administration has been wielding, despite the disapproval of the World Court. If the Teflon coating isn`t wearing thin on the President`s charisma here, it has certainly vanished in the eyes of the rest of the world.
