Mesa Limited Partnership reported second-quarter earnings fell to $13.7 million, or 20 cents per share, down from $17.5 million, or 26 cents, a year earlier. Revenue drifted downward to $41.9 million from $59.6 million. T. Boone Pickens, Mesa Petroleum`s founder and now a general partner, blamed the drop in revenue on a 17 percent drop in natural gas production and a 15 percent decrease in gas prices.
