A Northlake man was killed Friday morning when he was struck by a Chicago & North Western express train in west suburban Bellwood, authorities said. Killed in the Bellwood accident was Kevin A. Murphy, 31, of 21 King Arthur Ct., Northlake. According to Bellwood police, Murphy was running along the railroad tracks at the North Western depot, Erie and Frederick Avenues, at about 8 a.m., apparently trying to outrun an oncoming train, when he was struck by the train bound for Chicago.
