During the debate over Daniel Manion`s confirmation as a federal judge for the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Tribune ran frequent articles, not one of which failed to mention the opposition of certain lawyers`

organizations.

Only on July 25, two days after Manion`s confirmation, did a Tribune article identify these organizations as ”liberal lawyers` groups.” This identification is evidence that Manion was opposed only because of his conservatism. Was the Tribune`s withholding of this evidence motivated by anti-conservative bias?
