In the wake of the mass murder in Edmond, Okla., the opponents of firearms control in any form will, once again, haul out their tiresome disclaimer: ”Guns don`t kill people, people kill people.” No other weapon available to the general public–be it knife, ax, hammer or machete–could wreak such havoc.
The National Rifle Association may continue to convince its supporters and our craven legislators that, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, guns don`t kill people–but not the families aggrieved by this most recent tragedy.
