It is high time for the Chicago Board of Education to face up to the futility of continuing to spend between $75 million and $80 million tax dollars per year on a ”desegregation plan” which is a proven failure.
The worst of the wasteful spending is $25 million tax dollars for busing. White student enrollment in the Chicago public schools has fallen to less than 15 perecnt. This fact speaks for itself.
