Caterpillar Inc. said 1,100 workers laid off at plants in East Peoria, Decatur and Aurora because of a strike at Caterpillar`s Joliet parts factory would be recalled Sunday. About 350 workers returned Monday following a settlement. Caterpillar said the remaining 535 workers would be recalled
”as soon as is practical.”
