Overlooked (or ignored) in the uproar about the ownership of the Soldier Field skyboxes are the questions: ”Why should the park board have skyboxes? Why doesn`t it lease them to paying customers instead of using them for fat- catting politicians?” The new Mayor Washington-appointed board had a great opportunity to denounce such a practice. Instead–just like their
predecessors–they are determined to enjoy the spoils of their political war at the expense of the taxpayer.
