Pro career–Drafted by the Bears in the fourth rpound of the `83 draft, but chose to join Chicago in the USFL. . . . Got into 10 games as a rookie for the Blitz and started in 8 games. . . . Received the starting nod in the final 9 games of `83, including a playoff game at Philadelphia.
Collegiate, personal–All-America at Notre Dame. . . . Lettered for four seasons (1979-82). . . . Played in the 1981 Sugar Bowl loss to Georgia.
