In his heyday, Bill Lee sported a shaggy beard and untamed ideas when he pitched for Boston and Montreal. It seemed as if ”The Spaceman” lived his life on a dare.
Today, four years from the pro spotlight, Lee pitches with semipro teams and works for the Canadian Federation of Fish and Game.
”I raise people`s consciousness of cleaning up the rivers and bettering our environment,” he said. ”I`m a person first, ecologist second, and player third.”
