Not too many moons ago, one could enjoy attending concerts at Ravinia for $3 or $4, sitting along the sides on the concrete benches. The view was partially obstructed by the supporting pillars, but still quite good considering the price.
Now, $5 only gets you into the park. No more free seats. If you want a seat, it costs you $18, $20, $22, and this includes those side seats that used to be free.
The concerts at Grant Park are free and the music is just as great as at snobbish Ravinia.
I don`t suppose that the powers that be at Ravinia got the message.
