Standard & Poor`s Corp. said Union Pacific Corp.`s debt ratings were placed on S&P`s CreditWatch surveillance list with negative implications because of Union Pacific`s proposed $1.2 billion acquisition of Overnight Transportation Co. S&P said that ”over the next several years, Union Pacific`s key financial ratios will be reduced significantly.”
