I agree with comments by utility consumers in Voice of the people toward Com Ed`s costly advertising campaign in light of the fact that Com Ed has no competition. Could it be that Com Ed is practicing for that day (competition) ? Bell telephone was given competition when it grew too huge for comfort

One of Com Ed`s TV commercials states, ”Commonwealth Edison is treating you right.” Is Com Ed treating us right with uncontrolled double and triple summer electric rates? I think not! It is ironic that Com Ed should chafe us now, with TV one-liners such as that.

This consumer`s concern now that cold weather is nearing: Will Com Ed`s summer high-rate serenade turn into a winter high-rate symphony when electric furnaces and heaters replace air-conditioners and fans?
