Nolan Ryan has pitched five no-hitters, the most by any pitcher. He recorded two no-hitters in 1973, one in `74 and one in `75, all with California, and one in 1981 with Houston.

John Vander Meer of Cincinnati is the only pitcher to throw consecutive no hitters. He did it on June 11 and June 15, 1938.
