The remark by Japan`s prime minister, Yasuhiro Nakasone, on the advantageous position his country has over the United States should be examined a bit further. When Japanese companies and people first started expanding their operations in the U.S., they realized that English is spoken and written here–not Japanese, Spanish, Polish or German. When all Americans start speaking and writing one language, the advantage should be ours.
