I disagree with a recent comment in the ”INC.” column criticizing the CHA for spending money on a wedding for 11 CHA couples.

I feel the money was well spent in encouraging CHA tenants to marry

(instead of living together). Perhaps now these fathers (as many as six children) will assume the responsibility of supporting their families, not depend on public financing.

If this program succeeds and goes further, it may help in reducing the huge public aid expenditures.
