Two recent columns in The Chicago Tribune are particularly disturbing, and I fear that they are a reflection of the times.

One writer bemoans that Australians can no longer enjoy the ”sport” of dwarf-throwing, and Joan Beck demonstrates unconscionable insensiblity toward the plight of Vietnam veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange.

The Reagan revolution is now complete; it`s OK to be prejudiced and devoid of compassion once again.
