Services for Joseph E. Jannotta, 88, founder and principal owner of Fox River Stone Co., Elgin, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark`s Episcopal Church, Fourth Avenue and Franklin Street, Geneva. Mr. Jannotta, of Geneva, died Thursday in Delnor Community Hospital-Geneva. A native of Chicago, Mr. Jannotta attended Lake Forest Academy and the University of Chicago. He was a former national squash rackets champion. His mother, Stella Skiff Jannotta, was a founder of the Jewel Tea Co., sang with the Metropolitan Opera and was at one time president of the Chicago Political Equality League, which worked for women`s suffrage. His father, Alfredo Jannotta, had been Stella Skiff`s instructor at the Boston Conservatory of Music. Mr. Jannotta is survived by his wife, Hilja; a daughter, Stella Kelly, of Glencoe; two sons, Joseph Jr., of Chicago, and Edgar, of Kenilworth; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
