Regarding ”The observer” column, authored by Kathleen Yaekal:

I hope Nada finds a good home for puppy Ziggy. He obviously hasn`t had one with her. She treats him like ”our kids.”

The shelters in our city are filled with dogs people raised ”just like a kid.” It`s incredibly unfair to treat a dog like a human being and then to punish it because it doesn`t respond like a human.

Nada states that the final incident that caused her to get rid of Ziggy is that he chewed up a library book. Since she had a library card, why didn`t she take the time to read up on how to train a dog?
