Services for Sidney Gold, 85, a Democratic Party precinct captain in the 44th Ward for 50 years, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel at 5206 N. Broadway. Mr. Gold, of the North Side, died Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital. He worked in the city`s Department of Streets and Sanitation for 25 years. Survivors include a son, Don, editor-in-chief of Chicago magazine; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
