1986 season–Had his best day as a pro in the first Vikings game, Oct. 5, with six catches for 157 yards and a 58-yard touchdown. Made his first pro catch and first pro touchdown against Green Bay, Sept. 22. . . . Had 23 catches for 430 yards, an average of 18.7 yards a catch.
Pro career–Played in 6 games in 1985 after coming off injured reserve. . . . Had arthroscopic knee surgery in training camp in `85. Was placed on injured reserve Aug. 19, but was activated Nov. 8 and returned punts two days later in the Bears` 44-0 rout of the Cowboys. . . . Best punt return in `85 was for 23 yards. It set up a touchdown against the Lions. . . . Returned 17 punts for 158 yards and a 9.3 average. In postseason, he returned 11 punts for 63 yards.
Collegiate, personal–He was onorable mention All-America at McNeese State, and first team all-Southland Conference as a senior. . . . Set his school`s single-season receiving record as a senior with 602 yards
