On Dec. 13, a letter appeared in The Chicago Tribune`s Voice of the people which stated: ”It is both frightening and sickening to see all branches of our media organizing themselves into a lynch mob determined to hang President Reagan.”
In my 60 years of newspaper reading I have never seen a more asinine statement in print than the one quoted above. We should all be everlastingly grateful to the media for bringing to the people`s attention a most shameful and dangerous abuse or neglect of presidential power than has been made evident in the disclosure of the Iran-Arms deal.
