Evanston Hospital is looking for men 30 to 60 years old with coronary artery disease to participate in a new treatment program that may slow or reverse the effects of the disease on blood vessels.
The program, sponsored by the Pritikin Research Foundation, will combine the Pritikin low-cholesterol diet with plasmapheresis, a blood-washing technique that filters cholesterol molecules from the blood.
A control group of patients will be monitored on conventional treatment of diet and cholesterol-reducing drugs. For more information phone 492-4512.
