Mass for Mary Browne, 101, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9557 S. Lawndale Ave., Evergreen Park. Mrs. Browne, a former resident of Evergreen Park and Chicago`s South Side, died Sunday in an Oak Lawn nursing home. Mrs. Browne was born in County Mayo, Ireland, on July 4, 1885. She came to the United States in 1906. Her husband James, a onetime employee of Peoples Gas Light & Coke Co., died in 1982. Mrs. Browne is survived by 4 sons, James, John, Vincent and Bernard; 2 daughters, Catherine Steves and Margaret Newmann; 18 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
