It`s back. The Return of the World`s Worst Music concert this Saturday is being brought to you by 50 musicians who ought to (and do) know better. You`ll hear the Bottle Band of St. Luke`s Lutheran Church of Park Ridge perform a, uh, major work from their classical repertoire. You`ll hear violinist Alan Heatherington play a medley of Jack Benny`s favorite solos. You`ll hear the Cardiac Arrest Quartet singers render asunder a 19th Century dramatic piece. You`ll hear–and see–the World`s Worst Marching Band (so crowned at Evanston`s 4th of July parade) resurrect the theme from TV`s ”Green Acres,” complete with 240-degree turns. All this and more, alas–much, much more.
Return of the World`s Worst Music; St. Luke`s Episcopal Church, Hinman and Lee Streets, Evanston, 973-0808 or 475-3630; 8 p.m. Saturday; $7, students & seniors $6.
