Why are all of the Washington politicians so adamant against

”protectionism” when it has worked successfully for years on sugar, and several other products, even though the consumer pays a higher price than if there were no tariffs? It keeps our industries intact, our labor force working and the government collecting taxes.

On the other hand, our so-called ”free trade” policies have been a disaster that has escalated year after year. Yet the experts and most of the economists favor continuation of this disastrous free-trade policy, largely because they have a fear of what they assume is retaliation.

We are the ones who should and must retaliate before we go down the drain, with the U.S.A. owned by foreigners.
