Agriculture Secretary Richard Lyng said he will ask Japan to offer a share of its rice market to U.S. exporters and will ask Tokyo to do away with its quotas on U.S. beef and citrus. Lyng would not say how big a share of the Japanese market the United States would request, but he did say, ”We`ve got none of it now. If we got 1 percent of it, it would be a big improvement.”
