After the President`s recent speech, we heard much from the Democrat leaders that ”he must now lead the country.” They do not, however, explain how a Republican President can lead a Democratic-controlled Congress.
Never mentioned is the fact that this Congress recently went over the President`s head to pass (1) a $20 billion pork-barrel bill falsely named
”The Clean Water Act”; (2) the very tricky bill whereby this Democrat Congress gave itself a $12,000 increase in pay. It seems that we, the majority of the voters, are the ones who have messed things up and now we must live with it.
