I disagree with the article ”Bar owner takes case for late hours to people.”

The argument concerning the Dec. 1 decision to close Chicago Ridge bar doors at 2 a.m. instead of 4 a.m. is a responsible decision.

Bar owners are thinking only of the two-hour extension as profit, avoiding the issue of drunk drivers. How many people drinking in a bar until 4 a.m. are below the legal 10 percent alcohol content level? The chances of intoxication are likely to be high, in turn, endangering the lives of innocent drivers.
