Your editorial and Clarence Page`s comments in the March 11 Tribune are really ludicrous in view of the fact that the Humanist Manifesto declares itself to be a religion. The Supreme Court has also declared Humanism as a religion.
Why the hue and cry? The liberal media and the ACLU have aided and perpetuated a new bigotry in this country that has been growing for years
–that being a bigotry against any reference to religion in the public sector.
Religious values are the foundation of all law and morality. They promote a stable society. In your flagrant attempts to create a totally secular society, you are chopping away at its foundation and when the foundation is weakened, the entire structure falls.
”Eccentric religious sensitivities” aside, your bigotry is showing.
