The 15th edition of the Loren L. Zachary Society`s Opera Awards National Auditions will take place in Los Angeles beginning April 27, and the finals will be staged at the Ambassador Auditorium May 31. The winner will receive $3,000, plus a round-trip flight to Europe for auditions.
Contestants should be between 21 and 35 years of age and should have completed what the competition calls ”proper operatic training.” For applications, send a stamped addressed envelope to the Zachary Society, 2250 Gloaming Way, Beverly Hills, Calif. 90210.
