The Chicago Board of Trade reported that a total of 42,953 contracts were traded during its first evening session on Thursday. That included 29,777 futures contracts on U.S. Treasury bonds and 687 futures contracts on Treasury notes. In addition, 12,345 Treasury-bond futures options contracts and 144 Treasury-note futures options contracts changed hands.
