One would have thought that the trend in recent years to tamper with consumer products might have stayed outside the artistic realm.

Unfortunately, the sad reality is quite the opposite. Thanks to Ted Turner, et al., we now have the opportunity to see what great movie stars of the past–such as Humphrey Bogart and Jimmy Stewart–look like with insipid, pastel faces and wardrobes. It should be noted that this type of tampering, though usually not fatal, often causes widespread viewer anxiety, in addition to severe pastel chromatophobia.
