Abbott Laboratories said it introduced two major enhancements to diagnostic systems it makes. One system, called the IMx, will bring more automation to diagnostic tests for cancer, AIDS and other diseases. The second, ADx, offers laboratories greater flexibility in testing for drug abuse, the company said.
