I strongly object to the attempts of The Tribune`s art critics to predict ”history,” as they were allowed to do in an opinionated romp for the Arts section cover story (Who will last/who won`t last?).
Such shock value, mass ”art critique” serves no purpose. Why do critics pretend that there is a structure of ”facts” about art upon which they can base such predictions?
Once again, we are shown that art critics can never tell us anything about art–they can only tell us about themselves.
