Regarding Bavid Broder`s column of May 17 on Jesse Jackson, whose lopsided philosophy on government focuses solely on struggles of nations emerging from colonialism, etc., there is one aspect of Rev. Jackson`s experience that Mr. Broder has overlooked completely.
That is Rev. Jackson`s legislative experience. He doesn`t have any! He hasn`t even been as much as a ward heeler.
By and large, presidential candidates either have a law background, legislative experience or have served as a governor of a state.
