I object to your editorial statement recently that ”some marbles (are)

loose in West Germany.”

I come from Germany, left under Hitler and have been in this country for 53 years.

But to compare Mr. Gorbachev with Mr. Reagan is an insult. I think that Mr. Gorbachev is not only young, but very brilliant, and there is just no comparison with Ronald Reagan, an old, not-too-bright actor.

That East and West Germany are separated is very unfortunate but there are reasons for it.
