Maverick oil man T. Boone Pickens said his Mesa Limited Partnership will need to borrow money to pay its $2-per-unit annual distribution this year unless it can find a way to make money outside the oil and gas business. Pickens said the company has a ”pretty good” record at making money through investments and takeover efforts, but Mesa has ”very few securities investments right now.”
