I must express my abhorrence of the recent defacement of the new Skokie Holocaust memorial. Such desecration is a vile and contemptible act–so offensive to me that I must weep in empathy with those whose loved ones suffered the horror of Nazi atrocities.
As a Christian, I urge all other concerned non-Jewish people to make their feelings openly known, so that the Jewish community may be strengthened and encouraged by the support of their non-Jewish sisters and brothers.
