I hope the people of Skokie realize that those who defaced their monument are a very small minority and that the majority of Americans in this country support the cause and dedication represented by the monument.
We may never know who actually defaced the monument, but we know a lot about them: They`re cowards; they`re ignorant; they`re probably immature kids disguised as adults; their convictions and values are misplaced; and they operate out of hate and fear. Last, but not least, I look at them as educators. They teach me all the things I don`t want to be.
