Zenith Electronics Corp. registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a public offering of 2 million common shares. The Glenview consumer electronics and computer products firm said proceeds will be used to reduce short-term borrowings and for other corporate purposes. The firm has about 23.4 million common shares outstanding.
