Memorial services for Lawrence Clair Schumaker will be held in Palo Alto, Calif., when his daughter returns from Europe in six weeks. The preceding burial services will be private. Mr. Schumaker, of Evanston, died Saturday in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. He was a retired marketing research executive for Illinois Bell in Chicago and past president of the company`s Telephone Pioneers chapter. He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Priscilla Bale; two grandchildren; and a brother.
