In a recent paper there is an excerpt from an editorial in the Boston Globe concerning the trial of Nazi Klaus Barbie that is headlined ”The blood still runs cold after 40 years.”

On Page 3 of this same paper, there is an article that also made my blood run cold–headlined ”Ex-soldier can`t sue Army over LSD damage”–the Supreme Court decision (5-4) that an ex-soldier who had been given LSD without his knowledge in Army experiments had no legal recourse because of the

”military`s broad immunity from lawsuits.”

My blood runs cold when I hear that the military is free to be above the law.
